Interim Senior Director Tax Operations
INTERIM SENIOR DIRECTOR TAX OPERATIONS
EXTENSIVE GLOBAL TAX AND FINANCIAL REPORTING WORK
Opportunity for a senior tax and reporting professional with strong experience in global consolidation provision review, tax compliance oversight, and the ability to operate across both strategic and hands-on execution levels within a complex multinational environment.
UTILIZE STRONG GLOBAL TAX & REPORTING SKILLSET
This role requires a leader who can oversee global tax compliance processes, manage outside advisors, and ensure alignment between tax reporting, provision results, and broader consolidation outcomes. The ideal candidate will also serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, including C-suite stakeholders.
REMOTE FLEXIBILITY/LENGTH OF PROJECT – This engagement will start as soon as possible through year end close. This can be done on a fully remote basis but would ideally prefer someone in commutable distance to Boston for a hybrid work schedule. The role will start at 30 hours each week with hours ramping up to 40 during quarter and year end close periods.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and support global tax provision and consolidation processes
- Operate in a hands-on capacity while also managing and guiding internal and external teams as needed
- Oversee global tax compliance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with reporting requirements
- Manage external advisors and coordinate global compliance deliverables and timelines
- Partner with tax teams to ensure consistency between tax provision and consolidated tax reporting
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership, including C-suite stakeholders
- Drive process efficiency and improvements across tax and reporting functions where applicable
Requirements:
- Strong experience with global consolidation provision review in a publicly traded U.S.-based multinational environment
- Solid tax compliance background with experience overseeing global compliance processes and managing external advisors
- Strong project management skills with a tech-savvy approach to systems and reporting
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with senior leadership, including C-suite executives
- Comfortable operating in both strategic advisory and hands-on execution roles
- Experience with OTP tax software and Oracle FCCS strongly preferred
- Prior process improvement experience is a plus
- Purchase accounting experience is a plus
- IRS audit experience is a plus
